Give Up Your Ghost channels a hi-fi alternative pop sound akin to the likes of 1980s supergroup Tears for Fears, Australian favourites Holy Holy and synth pop outfit CHVRCHES. The track is especially notable for the way in which it merges electronic dance production with distorted rock guitars, and catchy introspective vocals. Such is the effect of this combination, that 'Give Up Your Ghost' could be digested just as easily in a club as it could in the privacy of your own home.
